Meet
Hi there,
Tamara Byrne
REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKER, HBSW, MSW, RSW
SHE / HER
I am a member of the BIPOC community and a registered social worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work. I am in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and a member of both the Ontario Association of Social Workers and the Canadian Association of Social Workers. I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy services in Thunder Bay, along with virtual support across Ontario. I speak conversational French in addition to English.
My passion for this work grew through both my professional journey and lived experiences, leading me to support others while advocating for mental health awareness within the judicial, healthcare, and education systems. I strive to create a space that feels safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental—where you can show up exactly as you are and feel respected in your identity, culture, and worldview.
I take a collaborative, client-centred approach, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. Drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches, my focus is on supporting your healing, growth, empowerment, and resilience at a pace that feels right for you.
I’m truly looking forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey.
